Dear Parents and Carers

It has been a beautiful, sunny week in the Junior School. Many of our students, have been eagerly watching the assembly of the mini court outside the Prep area. Although weather has slowed down the completion of this project, we are certain that it will be worth the wait. Our grounds team have done a sensational job in creating this purpose built space.

Social/Emotional Growth and Support

This year, our counselling team have a strong focus in supporting all students in their social and emotional growth. They have kicked off the year with classroom sessions in each stage focused on concepts within the friendology program. Students will be exploring their emotions and how to be a good friend in fun and interactive ways.

Staffing Update

With Miss Vicky Fiella on personal leave, we are pleased to welcome Mrs Kerryn Vezos to the Calvary team. Mrs Vezos will be working in the Junior School, classroom Music position for the duration of Term 1.

Kerryn brings a wealth of musical experience and passion in string instruments, choirs and the performing arts. Welcome Mrs Vezos!

Clubs Update

Junior School clubs have begun and there has been lots of enthusiasm from our students. From nature drawing, to dancing to dramatic arts, there are so many opportunities almost every break.

Stage 3 Netball and Basketball changes - Netball will be changed to Thursday first break to give more opportunity for Stage 3 students to attend and improve their netball skills prior to Gala day competitions.

Basketball will therefore be moved to Tuesdays.

2024 Government Student Residential Address Collection

Each year the College is required to submit data for the Student Residential Address Collection (the collection). The collection informs Australian Government school education policy and helps ensure funding for non-government schools is based on need. The information collected is used to inform school funding calculations. It is combined with Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data to calculate a non-government school community’s anticipated capacity to contribute to schooling costs.
